Knitting with short rows

Workshop leader: Külli Jacobsen, Setomaa, Estonia
Date and time: Külli will be on location during both days
No advance registration. No fee.

During this workshop you will learn how to knit a mitten cuff (or just a wrist warmer) in a clever way using förkortade varv. It is a very decorative method which allows you to play with colours and use your creativity.

This is a beginners´course, all you need to know is how to knit räta stiches.
The method is commonly used in Latvia but there are a pair of mittens/gloves with this type of cuffs in the National Museum of Estonia. The mittens/gloves were found in the Petseri area in Setomaa more than a hundred years ago.

Külli Jacobsen will be on location at the festival during both days. You are welcome to take a seat and learn from her.
